Nick Cannon: Leaving my family will be the hardest thing I've had to do

Nick Cannon and his wife, Mariah Carey, welcomed their twins on April 30 and now, barely two months later, the comic has to leave his new family for his hosting gig on America's Got Talent. "It's quite difficult," Nick reveals to Life & Style. "Probably one of the hardest things I've had to do."

The funnyman, 30, has resumed his hosting duties on the hit NBC show and will be filming on the road this summer. "I really didn't think about how difficult it was going to be because my wife has always been on the road," he tells Life & Style. "She's extremely understanding when it comes to that. I didn't think it would be harder than before until it actually happened."

And although Nick understands he has to accept it in order to support his family, he can't help but wish to be near his twins, daughter Monroe and son Moroccan. "All I want to do is be home with my kids," he tells Life & Style. "But you have to get out there and work, so it's definitely a difficult task."
