Fashion designer Posh, 37, became good friends with Eva after moving to LA and helped the actress through her divorce from basketball star Tony Parker in January.
'Victoria ran it past David and they both want Eva,' a friend tells The Sun. 'She's extremely honoured.'
Eva, 36, threw Posh a baby shower on the rooftop of the Petit Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills in May.

The Beckhams, who are already parents to Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6, are delighted their fourth child is a little girl.
Victoria is due to give birth next month and is believed to have booked herself in for a Caesarean on 4 July.
